My Last Day at IOA

I am sad to leave my job here at the IOA. I've learned a great deal, worked with incredible people, and became immersed in an organization dedicated to a worthy cause. I can't be happier with the experiences I've gained.

With that said, I am very excited to be moving on and venturing out into the world. Woohooo! It's party time.

Here are some kinds words from my supervisor Ria Mercado:

Adam's last day as QI Coordinator is tomorrow, Wednesday, June 27th.

Adam's contributions to IOA will not end on this day. He made Quality Improvement Department a stronger department that became a resource hub for all other departments, such as clinic and rehab.

Adam's enthusiasm and energy were not isolated in SeniorHealth. He participated in many activities that will improve the care and services within and outside IOA. He collaborated with many outside agencies, such as DHS, SFDPH and worked closely with On Lok. Adam represented IOA very well.

Adam, we will miss you and we hope that you will visit us often...

No doubt, you have a very bright future ahead of you.

A-W-E-S-O-M-E

I say it on average about once an hour (if you include the hours when I'm asleep).

Last summer the word de-jour was "dude".

Things that I think are awesome:
1.) Being on the water
2.) Eating a perfect sized portion of delish food
3.) Paulener Heff
4.) The sun
5.) Hitting a double
6.) Morning cuddling (awwww geeez).
7.) Good Fiction.
8.) A good joke.
9.) A great band
10.) Jamming.

I met Willie Mays

Our meeting was brief, but the baseball legend and I met and shook hands.

Hell, I made him laugh and he made me laugh.

It was a very special moment, and surely, the first person I called was my dad. Then Roni. I was SUPER excited, a truly special day.

I'm not one to be big on meeting celebs nor do I think that celebs should be more valued than us lay-folk, but I clearly idolize them too. It's a strange phenomena I think. Curious.

Anyways, this is a moment in my life that I want to commemorate permanently.
